Humboldt Redwood Company is seeking summer forestry technicians! This is a non-exempt position, the hourly rate for this position is $28.65 and includes benefits. These positions are based in Scotia, CA. We anticipate the season to be May 2026 through September 2026.
The Mendocino Companies own nearly 450,000 acres of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC C031337) certificated redwood and Douglas-fir timberland, constitute the largest waterborne wood treater in the Western USA, and is the largest producer of redwood lumber in the world. Collectively providing 950 employees and their families with excellent wages and benefits in communities throughout the Western USA. Additionally, the Mendocino Companies own and operate a 25-megaWatt biomass cogeneration power plant and wood pellet plant.
Under the direction of the forest managers, lead biologists the summer forestry technician will work closely with the respective registered professional foresters to conduct field work to implement timber harvesting plans (THPs) and other forest management projects, survey and monitor threatened, endangered, and sensitive species.
